WHAT WE OFFER

iKids offers affordable Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services for children from Kindergarten age through to year 6.  We provide the following OSHC services:

  • Before school care
  • After school care
  • Vacation care

iKids OSHC offers the following educational programs/activities:

S.T.E.A.M. Program
S.T.E.A.M. Program
Children will be provided with the opportunity to participate in individual and group activities/projects based on the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.). They will be provided with the resources, materials and guidance to explore and discover many  S.T.E.A.M. concepts available to them.

Children will be encouraged to keep a personal S.T.E.A.M. discovery journal in a digital and/or hard copy format. Students can record the activities/projects they have participated in which can include videos or photo’s they have taken, drawings or creations of their ideas, their own comments about activities to explain what they discovered or achieved and also comments from other students, educators and parents.

Children can also contribute to the group’s S.T.E.A.M. discovery journal which will be displayed in the classroom for parents and visitors to read and view. Children’s projects, experiences and creations will also be displayed for everyone to view and enjoy.

Children will be provided with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sporting or outdoor team activities to develop skills, fitness and team work. Coaching clinics will also be provided for children to further develop their abilities in a chosen sport.

Kids in the Kitchen Program
Kids in the Kitchen Program
Children will be provided with the opportunity to learn how to prepare simple nutritious meals and snacks, as well as how to use cooking utensils and equipment. They will develop their own menus and learn to follow recipes. Where possible, children can grow their own vegetables to use in their recipes. Each child will have the opportunity produce their own “Kids in the Kitchen Recipe Book”, which will include their recipes, pictures and comments about the food and recipes they have prepared in the program.
Children will be provided with the opportunity to participate in fun, simple fitness and dance activities to music. They will learn how to warm up their muscles and bodies by using appropriate stretching techniques and also develop coordination and rhythm through dance expression.
